taking user interface/layout to another PC

(OP)
Hi there.

I was wodering if anyone could help me. I am leaving my current company and would like to take the settings file for the layout of my NX4 screen with me, so i dont need to set up all the icons again at new place.

Could someone tell me how i do this please?

How do i find this file and how do i put it onto another computer?

Thanks in advance.

Steve.

RE: taking user interface/layout to another PC

If your system was set-up using the default installation options, you should find what you're looking for in the follow location:

C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Unigraphics Solutions\NX4

And other than the 'history.pax' file, you can probably safely take everything that you find in this folder, including any sub-folders.

RE: taking user interface/layout to another PC

Steve,

If you just want to save your icons then save a role and copy the ".mtx" file. That does it for what most people want.

Best regards

Hudson
