How to make glowing materials in render mode?

How to make glowing materials in render mode?

How to make glowing materials in render mode?

(OP)
Hi

I'm desperately trying to find a way to make some tubing glow in the dark. So far I haven't been able to find anything specific in material properties and I'm not that good at rendering in general, so detailed instructions are greatly appreciated.

This is the effect I'm trying to achieve:

Any help would be helpful

RE: How to make glowing materials in render mode?

I don't think you can make an object into a light source in Solid Edge.
I think you will need to play with the positions of lights and with rendering material properties to see what can be done.
Start with a single light and adjust its colour, position and direction to achieve the best effect, then change material properties for the tube.
