Pack-n-go, Inventor view missing files

Pack-n-go, Inventor view missing files

(OP)
I received a large Inventor assembly file with parts created using pack-n-go.  I don't have Inventor but I do have Inventor View.

When I try to open the top level assembly I get an error that some parts can not be found and that "they should be added to the project search path" but the parts are right there in the same folder with all the others.  What gives?

Thanks.

RE: Pack-n-go, Inventor view missing files

Did you change the project file to the one in the pack and go folder?

Open Inventor View
Select File/Projects
Browse to the folder in which the parts are located.
Select the project file.
Click OK.

Now you should be able to open the files no problem.

Thanks David, but no dice.  It still is looking in a very long path structure that I can only imagine existed at the source end.

Have them resend the files and tell them to change "Keep Folder Hierarchy" to "Copy To Single Path" in pack and go before pressing "Start".
