Views Stretched ??? Some Help Please.

Views Stretched ??? Some Help Please.

Views Stretched ??? Some Help Please.

When I view a sketch, 3D model or any thing that hasn't been rendered yet, it appears stretched horizontally. When I rotate the model clockwise it then still is shown stretched horizontally. ONLY when I actually render it, it then appears in the right proportions.

I've tried everything, including starting a new file and drawing a simple 50x50 square. The Sketch and 3D shaded (50x50x1) views are stretched, but when it is rendered the proportions are correct.

Attached is an example of my problem.

OK, try this (BTW, this is supposed to be taken care of automatically, but I've heard of a few cases where it wasn't):

Go to Preferences -> Visualization -> View/Screen and when you're at this dialog tab, select the big button in the middle titled 'Calibrate'.  What you do next should be pretty self evident.

Thanks man. That totally solved my problem, sucks I didn't ask earlier.

RE: Views Stretched ??? Some Help Please.

Years ago, before the modern display drivers and graphics cards, this function was a lot more well known since virtually every station had to be fine-tuned based on your unique configuration.  However, for several years now the system has been able to handle this task automatically, but every once in awhile someone comes up with a problem with the aspect ratio of the display and so we've left the option there even though I suspect that a very small percentage of our customers are even aware that something like this exists.
