I need to find out the pipe ID for oil distribution system.

The oil need to transfer from tank (4'x4'x5')via ingersol pump to the line. The line are located 110', 130' & 10' from the tank. Also, offset of 8 ft offset in the lateral direction. The only information I have is I need to sprinkle 35 gm on to the part.

Now, my question is

(1) what kind of information I need to collect?

(2) Since pipe ID, flow rate & flow velocity are related.
    So, If I know two of the parametr I can calculate
    third one. But, not sure how to start?

this problem appears to be typical of fluid flow problem done while in college.  i suggest you obtain your fluids textbook from college and read the section on fluid flow.  other resources are readily available - try searching this forum or use search engines.

since flow rate is known, you will need to determine flow resistance from source to destination.  flow resistance losses include frictional losses, elevation changes, etc., but these losses depend upon pipe diameter.  you will also need to know the fluid properties (density, viscosity, etc.) to aid the analysis.

if this is a homework problem, you need to read the site policies as the site policies will be enforced.

I'd try starting with a typical average flowrate of 6.5 ft/sec.  Then check your pressure drop.  Make sure its not more than your pump discharge pressure -  the pressure of the pipe you're injecting into.  If it is, try the next largest diameter.
