Webs between spline points?

Webs between spline points?

Webs between spline points?

(OP)
I seem to have a spline display problem--perhaps it's a line font (or other) issue.  Check out the images I've linked and let me know if you know how to eliminate/hide the lines connecting the points of my spline.  I've never had this happen before.

At first, SW wouldn't let me select or delete the lines, but would then act as though they were real by not letting me extrude the simple spline as a surface.  I opened a new part to check if I could do it then, and it let me.  I returned to my original part, and it worked, but I still had the webs.

Thoughts?  Do you see the webs in the sample part provided (maybe it's my system)?

RE: Webs between spline points?

Must be your system. The surface opened fine on mine, with no sign of the spline anomaly. SW08-SP3.0 x32

cheers

Great--that's what I was afraid of.  Might need to tweak some ATI settings somewhere...

Thanks for the check and reply!

DOH!  It's been super solid so far (FireGL v5600).  But I think you're right--that's probably the issue.

RE: Webs between spline points?

Maybe just try un-installing and re-installing the driver.

Or maybe even try the latest and greatest from ATI.

cheers

Yeah, it's a fairly new card, so I wouldn't be too surprised if the new driver works better.

For what it's worth, I just uninstalled the old (recommended) ATI driver and installed the newest driver.  Just a quick check with a spline in a new part/sketch shows drastic improvement--we'll see if it's good with the rest of the stuff I do.

Well--if the Standard 3D settings aren't right on "Balanced" the entire system will lock fatally when attempting to draw/move a spline.  But on "Balanced", the results are much better than the old, approved driver.  Without all that webbing noise I can see a nice, smooth curve.

To ATI--you guys are weird.
