continue abaqus job

(OP)
Hi all,

can I continue an abaqus job that accidently been disrupted? I was running an analysis, my PC shut down suddenly while the file still running. I tried to open the unfinished *.odb file, it gave error...

***ERROR: The ABAQUS database file is corrupt. If this was transferred from another machine using FTP or equivalent, ensure that the file was copied using the binary mode instead of ASCII mode.

RE: continue abaqus job

You can if you have written a restart file during the analysis.  See *RESTART.

If not, you'll probably have to run the job from the start sad
