Shoreline protection Restritions

Shoreline protection Restritions

(OP)
We are in the process of designing riprap shoreline protection for a river. However, the top bank (arm) of the riprap may not be constructed due to strict limitations that require preventing any tree cuts along the shoreline for bird wildlife protection. The slope at the shoreline is relatively flat. Any suggestions regarding what alternatives we can use to design such a shoreline protection system.
Thanks.

RE: Shoreline protection Restritions

Fill a permeable berm on the river side of the trees and armor both sides with riprap.  Try 3 to 1 slopes both sides with a 12 foot width.
