Air / paint flow from nozzle
Air / paint flow from nozzle
(OP)
Hey guys,
I'm doing some air permitting work for a site installing a paint booth. I am needing to calculate the maximum possible flow rate that a paint spray guns can produce during a given time period.
I know the pressures that guns will be operating at (~30psi), and the nozzle diameter (1.6mm).
From that data I need to figure out the amount of paint usage (gpm) that the guns operate at. No data was available from the gun manufacturers regarding the paint ~consumption.
Considering that the guns operate at an air / solvent ratio (of which I am unsure), I'm not sure what the next best step would be to get to a descent estimate?
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
