ISO 15156 Mole Fraction of H2S

ISO 15156 Mole Fraction of H2S

ISO 15156 Mole Fraction of H2S

(OP)
I have the PPM of H2S: 10000!!

Phase: Wet gas

I know the absolute Pressure of the system

1) What is the Mole fraction of H2S in gas phase?

2) Whatis the partial pressure of Hes pH2S, if the absolute pressure is 100 MPa?

RE: ISO 15156 Mole Fraction of H2S

1) To calculate the mole fraction, the total number of moles of all the constituents in the system needs to be known.  It is a dimensionless concentration term.  However, you have already obtained a dimensionless concentration for the H2S so, effectively, you would not need to know its mole fraction.

2) 10000 ppm (on an assumed volumetric basis) = 1% = 0.01

100 MPa * 0.01 = 1 MPa
