Planning and development engineer.

RE: project technologist

Uh.  YOU took the job, why don't you know what the job description is?

RE: project technologist

Ask your Human Resources department for the job description.

RE: project technologist

don't bother with human resources, they are usually clueless.   Ask your supervisor for it.  However, he should have given it to you when you were hired.  Be careful here because, you will either be admitting that you weren't paying attention when he told you the first time or that he failed to tell you what it was when he hired you.  And what does the engineering department have to do with this?  you were hired as a technologist in another department.  you can't jump ship now.

RE: project technologist

I don't care much about job titles and formal job descriptions, any job is what you make of it.
I've seen two people in the same job ("maintenance technologist") in two similar units of the same company. One was practically running the unit, the other was little more than a clerk.
