Making a cone sheetmetal part??

Making a cone sheetmetal part??

Making a cone sheetmetal part??

(OP)
I've searched other threads on this subject and found one that was useful but I've tried doing it the way that TheTick had outlined in thread 559-199521. I create a revolve of my cone and only revolved it 358 degrees but when I go to insert bends I keep getting an error.

Can anyone help me out. Thanks.

RE: Making a cone sheetmetal part??

What is the error?

Are you selecting a straight edge when prompted?

cheers

I found my problem the bend radius i was using was incorrect.

Give me the dunce cap and set me in the corner!! purpleface

Thanks for the reply CorBlimeyLimey.

RE: Making a cone sheetmetal part??

Because the precision of unfolding a lofted bend is not as good.

RE: Making a cone sheetmetal part??

Well, in my defense, he didn't say anything about precision...smile
