Error messages in dynamic collision analysis in Abaqus explicit

(OP)
I will do a collision analysis in Abaqus explicit. I get these error messages:

Error in job: The elements contained in element set ErrElemExcessDistortion-Step1 have distorted excessively.
Error in job: Excessive incremental rotation of the elements in element set ErrElemExcessIncrementalRotation-Step1.
Error in job : There are a total of 8 excessively distorted elements
Error in job: Print-out suppressed for subsequent excessively rotated elements
Error in job : There are a total of 103 elements with excessive rotations
Error in job : The ratio of deformation speed to wave speed exceeds 1.0000 in at least one element. This usually indicates an error with the model definition. Additional diagnostic information may be found in the message file.
Error in job : The elements contained in element set ErrElemExcessDistortion-Step1 have distorted excessively.

Does anyone have any idea what the problems can be???

Another thing, if I find the critical element number in the viewer, how can I find this element again in the mesh module? (In viewer you can type in element number, but can you do the same in mesh module?)
If not, how do I fix the error elements?

Thanks!

RE: Error messages in dynamic collision analysis in Abaqus explicit

It may not necessarily be a problem with the elements, rather your material definition causing large strains relative to the element size, alternatively your increment interval is too high.

Should you still want to find a particular element in modules other than visualisation, try identifying it using a "display group" by selecting the element label.
