hi
how can I define flow of a liquid for simulation of a bar mold filling in FLOW3D. please give me your ideas.
I have attached the prepin.inp and .stl file that can be usefull.thanks.

RE: MOld filling

If the cone at the middel is the feeder and this also acts as the pouring bassin, you first have to determine the conditions how it will fill and it might be needed to add some extra geometry to model the metal stream from the laddle to your mould.

The question I should have put first: what exactly do you whant to examine? If your interested in feeding it might be interesting to first simulate only solidification. This will give you already a good idea. Later you can still combine filling and solidification.
