Tunnel Book

Tunnel Book

Tunnel Book

(OP)
I am looking for a good book about tunnels that would have both the mechanical behavior of soil and tunnel and some analysis and design discussions (to help in calculations).
It seems it is out there but it is hard to find.

RE: Tunnel Book

ha (now i sound like chris mathews on hardball); i got chewed out for asking this question several years back.  since then it hasn't changed much.  the best is that engineer manual 2-2901 i think it was.  also, there was a textbook put out by bickel called tunnel engineering handbook.  but nothing recent.  you're going to just have to start a collection of papers going all the way back to terzaghi and peck.  you might also check out the rapid excavation and tunneling conference proceedings.  also, hoek & brown's book on underground excavations has a lot of formulas you might be looking for...if that's what you're looking for.
