Projecting a profile for template

Projecting a profile for template

Projecting a profile for template

(OP)
I can see a very useful application but can not accomplish it...yet

My goal is make a template of the outline where two pieces of intersecting pipe at random angles meet.

I could then print these shapes out.. transfer it to my pipe as a template to cut my hole and cut the end of my pipe to fit.

Can anyone help or point to information on this

Thank you for your time
Ralph

RE: Projecting a profile for template

You could use the Intersection Curve tool to create the profile. You would then have to unwrap the profile to be able to print it. You could achieve that by turning the profile into a sheet metal part and flattening it.

cheers
