Binder Functionality - deleting links

Binder Functionality - deleting links

Binder Functionality - deleting links

(OP)
I have a file that has some pdf files in the binder (linked).

I'm having trouble deleting them, anyone know how?  Some of them the links are broken if that helps.

I'm sure I've done it before but can't recall how.  I don't see anything in Edit Binder, Edit Links or Rev manager that'll work.  When I try to do a replace it wont show any other pdf files to replace the current one with.

Thanks,

Ken

RE: Binder Functionality - deleting links

Hi Kenat,
In the draft file EDIT>BINDER then click the entry you want to delete and press DELETE on the keyboard.
You should be asked to confirm deleting the object.
Just tried it and it works.
The EDIT only seems to work for certain file types -.xls is one of them, but .jpg does not seem to be editable.
Here's a strange thing though, I just renamed one of the files I had linked with the Binder. When I re-opened the draft file it still showed the old filename and did not show a broken link. When I went to EDIT it opened the renamed file.
I've now moved the linked file to another folder and the link still remains. I can even use the EDIT and it opens the file. I've edited the file then opened it from the folder and the edited info is there so the link is definitely correct.
If I move it to a different disk Edge can't find the file when I click EDIT, but does not indicate a broken link.

That'll do it.  The memories came flooding back when I read your post, that's how I did it before.

Thanks,
