Template Problem

Template Problem

Template Problem

(OP)
Hi,
I'm trying to insert a template into an autocad drawing but it keeps coming out at a much smaller scale than it should be...
the DWT file is the correct paper-size and i'm inserting it by right clicking the last tab and selecting "from template"
if I scale it up the atributes don't scale with it.

I've had this problem in a previous workplace and it just desides to do it when it feels.

I'm using AutoCAD 2006

Thanks
p.s I've checked the drawing units and "insunits"

RE: Template Problem

Have you tried Insert --> Layout --> Layout from Template?

RE: Template Problem

(OP)
Thanks for you reply, that way also gives the same result.
I ended up starting a new drawing and copying the information I needed.
It appeared to be that certain drawing that was currupt in some way(get it from time to time)
Thanks

RE: Template Problem

I've had problems before where my INSUNITS were wacky. It cleared up when I reset to 2.

RE: Template Problem

Are you inserting your template as a block from the Insert pull down? If so check the scale in the X and Y directions!  and why would you want to scale the attributes?  If you want to change attribute size, I would use refedit.

RE: Template Problem

I was trying to scale the attributes as the whole thing comes in at a far smaller scale than it should.
I've tried inserting it as a new template via the tabs and by inserting as a block.
It seams to do it in certain drawings, if I start a new drawing its fine...
maybe its just one of those silly little flaws...
Oh well were upgrading to 2008 today so more fun and games ahead.
