Schematic Diagrams

Schematic Diagrams

Schematic Diagrams

(OP)
I am an Electrical Engineer working a civil construction project - 13 floor 62 apartments. I have been tasked with designing the power supply schematics in AutoCAD. I have some experience with AutoCAD but I have never drawn schematics for high rise building. I would appreciate help on getting standard symbols for equipment like transformers, generators, cable risers, etc. I also want some templates or examples where I can start from.

RE: Schematic Diagrams

AutoCAD has an electrical packages and most of the symbols you want are  pretty baisc.
Also this post may be better in the AutoCAD forum.

RE: Schematic Diagrams

From what I have seen, in addition to power and lighting sheets for each floor, the one-line diagram, and details for the main switchboard, motor control center, motors, disconnections, etc., you will probably need a riser diagram showing how, vertically, the feeders serve the panels.

RE: Schematic Diagrams

I'm assuming by "power supply schematics" you mean the schematic phase of the power design?  I'm a bit concerned that a 13 story apartment building is being referred to as a "civil" job...

You looking for symbols for a single line?  Or for a riser?

There's generally not much symbology with an electrical riser except a bunch of boxes connected togeter with lines and more boxes associated with each floor. I'm sure you can google for some basic single line symbols if you are wanting to create a single line diagram.
