Help!!!  I have the plans for an old ultralight one man helicopter. The bearings it calls for can no longer be had? Can any one tell me what bearing to use on the rotor shaft??  I asked this question over a year ago but forgot what I was told?? I think it was a MRC-7209 bearing???? please help me?? gary

RE: rotorshaft bearing

Gary,

MRC p/n 7209 bearing is a 29deg angular contact ball bearing, 45mm bore x 85mm OD x 19mm wide.

These bearings are designed for use in pairs.  Take care to see that they are installed in the correct orientation (ie. face-to-face or back-to-back).  And make sure they are installed with the correct axial preload.  Otherwise they will fail prematurely.

Good luck.
