Hi,

its maybe a little bit odd question, but how can I pick the existing plane, when creating the section??? I go to invoke plane subfunction, but it wont allow me to pick any existing plane.

Thanks for help
Vit

RE: Section view

And also if u are asking about plane (not datum plane), there is an icon called existing plane inside plane subfunction.

I would like to use datum planes as I dont usually create planes.

RE: Section view

Vit,

In NX-4 just for the view section, dynamic sectioning if you like, (which is what Man was referring to also), probably the easiest way is to just orient your WCS to the plane and set the section plane to Z,zero. For curve sectioning you can just pick the datum plane directly.

In NX-5 in either of the two Modeling Section types you can pick the datum plane directly.

Best Regards

Hudson
