electronic probe mixing for component geometric toleracing checks

(OP)
Would it be posssible for a very simple explanation to the very dark area of electronic probe mixing calculations, wehen used to check component geometric tolerancing values. For example positional tolerance, tapers, squarness and concentricity, these checks would be done with the relevent component being held in a gauging fixture with the probes built in.
many thanks.
