Non intrusive shaft torque measurement

(OP)
Is there some commercial instruments available for non intrusive shaft torque measurement? Primarily looking for shaft torque measurement in Motor/Engine-Coupling-Compressor drive train.

I am already looking into strain gauging with telemtery based systems. Anything more ? Thanks

RE: Non intrusive shaft torque measurement

Max power required to run compressor at capacity? Torque required supplied by engine these specs should be readily available from o.e.m.?

RE: Non intrusive shaft torque measurement

maybe a line on the outside of the shaft ... directly measuring twist, which can be calibrated to measure torque ?
