I need to know where i can go to school to become a corrosion engineer.. in canada ( ontario is possible) but any info will help. My guidance counseler was useless so please please please help. Also what are the working conditions like? and is the employement tread going up or down?

RE: Help with schooling
The main field dealing with corrosion and oxidation is materials sciences (engineering), So that is the best way to go. Other fields of science also deal with corrosion but I think to a lesser extent. In Canada, I know of the Department of Mining, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Université Laval in Québec which have a good reputation in the field.
Hope this helps.
RE: Help with schooling
Your two best bets are:
McMaster University in Hamilton, ON
University of Toronto

RE: Help with schooling
Many would say that a degree in electrochemistry may be best, as most corrosion mechanisms are electochemical in nature.
Another may suggest a degree in corrosion science and/or engineering.
I came to my present "state" in a very indirect manner; my BS was in chemistry, my masters 5 years later was in mechanical engineering where I specialized in materials and corrosion. Can't say I would go so far as to actually recommend this path, but I've found there arte certain aspects, or perhaps insights, associated with a science degree you won't get with an engineering degree, and vice-versa.
