beam loads

(OP)
Hi, I would like to know, if somebody knows how can I do beam load (triangular-like a hydrostatic) in ansys, I need to solve problem of roof construction, view appendix. I would like to use beam elements.
Thanks, Chosse

RE: beam loads

Hi,
depending on the element you will use, there is the possibility to specify variable "line-loads" on beam elements. For sure, with beam188 (but also with other simpler beam formulations) you can give different values for the "pressure" at node "i" and node "j". I suggest reading the Element description in the Ansys manual for most details.

Regards
