Hi ,

How can I select the centre point of a planar face by GRIP?

Thanks in advance,

yes, I mean the mathematical centre, the point which I can select using the 'point on surface' in point constructor dialog box. I enter u parameter as .5 and v parameter .5. I want to get this point in a GRIP program where I can import a part and place on exact center of the a planar face . to be more specific I want to import a part and place exactly on center point of a planar face using a GRIP program.

RE: Centre point on Planar face using GRIP

This planar face, what shape is it?  Is it rectangular in that the sides are parallel and the corners are 90 degrees?  The reason I ask is that if it's truly rectangular, than the centroid would also be the mathematical 'center' and that's easy to compute.

yes, it is a rectangular planar face but always  part of a solid body.
