DWGeditor 2008 closes when I choose to explore all linetypes

(OP)
hello,
I have a SW 2008 SP3.1, which has a AutoCad alike program DWGeditor. It works fine, but when I choose "explore linetyles" --> "Choose From File" --> choose every linetype --> click OK ,the program closes immediately without any warning or error. There is nothing in the event viewer. I have a Quadro FX 1700 graphics card with latest drivers. A friend of mine can choose all linetypes. What might be the problem?

RE: DWGeditor 2008 closes when I choose to explore all linetypes

Bad install? Did you disable the AV?

Are you running Vista x64? SP3.1 is specifically for that OS version, but should be OK for others.

cheers

Thank you for reply CorBlimeyLimey. I use Windows XP SP2 with all the latest updates. I disabled all critically not necessary software(including AVG), but it still closes. Then I made a SolidWorks reinstall(which has a SP3.0 at first, but it does not work with 3.0 likewisely), but even that did not help. I'm in administrator rights. Any more ideas or suggestions?
