High pressure, low flow steam generation

High pressure, low flow steam generation

High pressure, low flow steam generation

(OP)
We are looking into an application that requires steam supply at 500 psig at a flow rate of about 20 punds per hour. Ideally we would have the steam super heated to 1400 deg F. I have contacted dozens of boiler manufacturers and it seems the highest pressure steam could be made was 250 psig. Does anybody have an idea what company works with thoase requirements, even if the part has to be engineered first?

Thank you. Ed.

RE: High pressure, low flow steam generation

I would go electric, however I do not know a manufacturer that goes up to that pressure.

You will need two units, a boiler and then a superheater.  I used to be a rep for Sussman Electric (highest listed pressure is 250) and their standard superheater goes to just 1000 F.  They may be willing to do a special for you.

RE: High pressure, low flow steam generation

A quick check of Google using the term Steam Generators produced this;

http://www.claytonindustries.com/1.4.4.jsp

I normally don't google for the members but I couldn't remember the name of the steam generator I saw at a Dresser relief valve manufacturing plant once.  They have to make high pressure and high superheat steam for releaf valve pressure checking but they don't need high nor sustained flows.  When I saw the "Clayton" name it jogged my memory.  I am sure that is what I saw there.
