Hy there,

I need to convert my library from V4 to V5. I need to know how to transform a V4 .library file into a V5 .catpart file.

Hello,

Txs for the answer but I think your data in inaccurate. You can migrate from v4 to v5 .model files; .library files cant be migrated.

With kind regards,
Cosirius.

Library files can be migrated into catalog files, you can also migrate model files in CATPart files from Tools-Utility-Migratev4tov5 as you said, and you can have a full functional catalog with standard parts with v5 files if this is what you want.

Fernando

"Library files can be migrated into catalog files" - how? and more important can library files be migrated into part files?

With kind regards,
Cosirius.

Check in the on line documentation the chapter/subchapters  named V4 / V5 Equivalences - Using V4 Libraries , eventually Converting V4 Library Objects into V5 CATParts....in r17 docs for example...

Fernando
