Weldment Drawings

Weldment Drawings

Weldment Drawings

(OP)
Hello,

I am using SW 2007, and am wondering if it is possible to have SW create drawings of the weldment parts.  I can do a "save bodies" and "rip" the weldment sections into separate part files, which I could make drawings of.  the problem is, that once ripped I think they lose relations to the original weldment drawing.  Is it possible to have SW auto create a drawing of each of the weldment pieces onto separate sheets of  the main weldment drawing.  That way all relations would remain, and all drawings would be on 1 file.

thanks,
Rob

RE: Weldment Drawings

Go to Insert>Drawing View>Relative to Model.  This will let you insert a view that includes only selected weldment bodies.

RE: Weldment Drawings

When you do a save bodies, the relation to the original multibody file is not lost.  If you update the multibody file, the individual part file will update.
