Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

(OP)
I have an auxiliary view where the arrow text is a double letter, in this case shown as 'PP'. The text is interfering with the arrow if the arrow is in the 180 to 270 deg position (from 12 o'clock)see attachment. Can anyone help re-position the text.

Thanks

RE: Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

Just select the text and drag to where needed.

cheers

RE: Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

Aux view arrow letters can't be dragged (SW 2007).  Frustrating.

You can change the font spacing, which changes the letter distance from the arrow.
Document properties --> Annotation font --> View arrow, set font height to "units" and adjust the "space" parameter.

RE: Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

Thanks Tick, I did not know that.

Another workaround would be to use a regular Section View where the Annotation can be moved. The section view can be created using a line drawn parallel to the edge that would have been used for the Auxiliary View.

cheers

RE: Auxiliary View Arrow Text Position

or, when creating the view, don't have it add the text. Add the text manually later.
