Halogen in MPPO & PAS
Halogen in MPPO & PAS
(OP)
Hi,
I've recently sent MPPO & PAS (both glass filled) for lab test to determine the level of flourine & chlorine. To my surprise the level of both elements were very high.
MPPO - flourine : >2000 ppm, chlorine : nd
PAS - flourine : nd, chlorine : >2000 ppm
Upon checking with the material supplier, I later found that the use of PTFE in MPPO is the root cause for high flourine ppm. But unfortunately until this day we still unable to establish the source of chlorine in PAS. The material supplier claim that no chlorine is used througout their process. Could anyone share their thoughts or experience?
Thanks
