LAN Cable with armor

LAN Cable with armor

LAN Cable with armor

(OP)
LAN cable will be installed where there is risk of damaging cable.
I understand that LAN cable with armor is not available and thus any rule may not require LAN cable with armor. I'd like to konw where exemption(LAN with no armor) is described in the rule.

RE: LAN Cable with armor

In Canada the concern is often noxious gases released from the plastic sheath and insulation during a fire.
Interlocking armor or raceway is called up in the building code or fire code for cable installed in spaces used as air plenums.
Your options are to find a fire rated cable, use interlocking armored cable or install the cable in raceway or flexible conduit.
If the issue is mechanical damage then use raceway or flexible conduit.
