Is SA 240 TP347 right?

Is SA 240 TP347 right?

(OP)
SA 240 TP 347 is used in internal cone of a heat exchanger. I think SA240 TP347 is wrong, because I can not find SA240 TP347 in the ASME BPVC SEC II - PART A. But I am not sure whether it is right. Could anybody explain that? Thanks a lot.

RE: Is SA 240 TP347 right?

It's there - keep looking.

RE: Is SA 240 TP347 right?

SA-240 is a plate specification. Drop the term "TP" on the grade designation. "TP" applies to tubular products (tubes & pipes)

RE: Is SA 240 TP347 right?

People confuse Type with "TP" thinking that it is an abbreviation of Type. SA 240 Type 347 is there.
