How To Get Dashed Lines From Model Space Into Drawing?

(OP)
I imported an IGES file into catia. I changes the lines I needed to be dashed in model space. When I then add the view to a drawing...those lines come in solid?? any suggestions?

RE: How To Get Dashed Lines From Model Space Into Drawing?

Hi,

Give to dashed lines a color in model space, go in drafting workbench and check 3D Colors in the view properties (this will color your dashed lines), advance search - workbench drafting - Generated Item - Attribute - Color from Element - select them and set what kind of properties you want (linetype, color, width....).

wow. Thank you so much. That alone will save me over 2 hours per drawing.

Whoever makes catia...I dont know. Maybe they did it so that your average Joe will give up and then they can charge more. It's so deep@!

Thanks again!
