Lightweight Concrete Shrinkage Strain
Lightweight Concrete Shrinkage Strain
(OP)
I'm researching the shrinkage strain of a typical lightweight concrete (f'c = 3000psi, and w=115pcf). Any help? Thanks.
ACI 209 is being read as we speak, I'm just trying to jump start the process.
Thanks guys!

RE: Lightweight Concrete Shrinkage Strain
He did exntive research in his lab on many applications of lightweight aggregates in concrete and civil applications.
I suggest you search for "Thomas Holm", "Solite" and the various organizations (ACI, ASTM, NCMA, etc.) There are a few of his papers out there that could address your concerns.

Thanks for the information. I was talking it over with my boss and he said to check out Solite also. I found a manual of theirs in our library and have some approximate values now.
Thanks for the help.
