pdmworks problem
pdmworks problem
(OP)
I've taken ownership of a part, checked it out, modified it and now I want to check it back in.
it proceeds to check it in then stops with
Vault Error 102: You have no permissions to change the document properties.
I'm at a loss as to how to fix this
pdmwadmin does not have this problem.

Use SolidWorks Explorer to search for the part. Do you have ownership? Is the part number shown in red? If you have ownership and the part is not red, then have the administrator stop and restart the pdmwService on the server. Then try to check it in again. If you cannot then your VAR needs to be called.

RE: pdmworks problem
Question: The Vault error 102 is generated when checking documents into the vault, why?
Answer: Error 102 can be encountered when Lifecycle is enabled in the PDMWorks VaultAdmin and the 'Control document access using status' option is checked. The user that that does not have Read/Write permissions will see the error 102 - You have no permission to change document properties - when checking-in documents, and the check-in operation will be aborted. You will need to contact your PDMWorks administrator and request R/W permissions for a certain lifecycle status.
