How does trim works?

I use trim a lot, I would say, but someday, I dont know why, the trim command strated doing funny things...

I am doing a simple trim, then select (1st) cutting object, and then the (2nd)object to be cut... and surprise.. the 2nd object did not cut all the way back to the cutting 1st object..

Big thanks to anyone who can help me.

RE: How does trim works?

One rational explanation would be if the objects did not have all the same Z value, and your view direction is other than "0,0,1".

RE: How does trim works?

Try looking at the system variables EdgeMode and ProjMode

Thanks you
The system variables was the answer to my problem.

RE: How does trim works?

Following trim regen the drawing and take another close look; you may be surprise to note that trimming did work.
