How To Change Line Weight?

How To Change Line Weight?

How To Change Line Weight?

(OP)
I have not used AutoCAD for over two years now and I have been tasked with placing our company drawing formats in AutoCAD LT 2008. I have searched this forum and the AutoCAD Help to no avail. I was successful in importing the drawing format files from UG/NX, but the format line weights need to be thicker. I select a line then MB3 Properties and it shows a Lineweight by layer and if I change this no change occurs on the drawing itself. The layer is for the format and I need help to increase the thickness.

Thanks Lothar, that is what I needed to know. I am able to change the line weights now.
