Design data for crane girders

Design data for crane girders

Design data for crane girders

(OP)
Is anyone aware of any resources which give design data for crane girders - information such as lift capacity, wheel centres, crab weight, bridge weight, and hook approach etc.

I'm working in the UK, so would prefer SI units if possible !!

RE: Design data for crane girders

Look to the brochures of the various crane manufacturers for the specifications you describe.

Hi Valleyboy,

Mike is very right you need to check these up on data from different crane manufacturers. These data is also crane weight specific.

Corus site has soem information too.

The AISC has an Excel spreadsheet for designing crane beams...

sorry that last link was wrong.

Are you designing a girder which the hoist will sit on, or the crane beams which the girder, hoist, platform will run along?
