Double Channel Properties and Design

Double Channel Properties and Design

Double Channel Properties and Design

(OP)
Hello all,

I am designing double channel bracing for a project.  Has anyone seen or developed a spreadsheet for this?

No, I'm not looking for the way around learning the specification.  I am a seasoned structural engineer trying to make a profit by using as much shareware as possible.  I believe that we could learn a lot from programmers.  By sharing sourcecode they have been able to achieve far more as a collective body.  Software is like underware... ...required, but need not be expensive.

I am willing to write this spreadsheet.  Does anyone at least have tabular data assembled for double channels?  AISC 13th preffered.

No, Mr. Li has not done this yet.

I promise that I will never attempt to charge for my 'ware:)

RE: Double Channel Properties and Design

FeSE,

Did I read right - the words engineer and profit in the same sentence?

I don't understand...  :)
