Catia V4 drawing to dxf

Hi
I am trying to do a save as on a Catia V4 drawing to a dxf but the resulting dxf file is coming without any text, can you please help?
Thanks

RE: Catia V4 drawing to dxf

This is what I have done to generate DXF from V4.
1.) Plot to a HPGL file. (this will generate a catout.hpgl)
2.) on a PC convert HPGL to DXF using a converter that can be downloaded here http://www.noliturbare.com/index.php

If you need a HPGL plotter config file, let me know.

RE: Catia V4 drawing to dxf

Try to save Catia file to igs format. And import igesin into AutoCad.

RE: Catia V4 drawing to dxf

Hi,

Are you saving directly from v4 with CATDXF command or are you opening in v5 and save as dxf ?

Regards
Fernando

RE: Catia V4 drawing to dxf

When I exported to iges I had the same result as when I exported to dxf.
I am creating the dxf directly from the V4.
I will try the hpgl option as rickyt suggested.
Thanks for your replies.
