If you go to the hatch properties and change it to "none", how do you get it back?

You can search for Area Fill's via the Edit Search function.  Then you can get to the properties by using Alt-Enter.  If you have multiple area fills on the drawing, click-drag an area around the one in question first.  Then key in the following in your power command window:
T:Area Fill, sel
This will do an EDIT, SEARCH, TYPE Area Fill within the current selection.

I couldn't get either to work, then I realized its not an "Area Fill"...hatching is a "Generated Shape".

The power command you mentioned didn't seem to work, because there was no hatch highlighted/selected to right mouse click and change the properties.  However, with the edit/search, I was able to find the missing hatch and turn it back on.
