Slug flow in condensate line

Slug flow in condensate line

Slug flow in condensate line

(OP)
Hello friends!
This is with ref. to condensate recovery system in one of our plant.
I have a query on the percentage of steam (flash steam) allowed in condensate line to avoid corrosion/erosion problems due to slug flow conditions. This flash steam is due to press. drop across control valve.

Present system:
Line size - 2’’
Line length - 475 m
Condensate flow - 6620 kg/hr
Condensate pressure - 2.3 kg/cm2g
Temp. 136 oC

OR what is to be done to avoid the slug flow conditions in such cases...?

Thanks & Regards,
Rohit Rewagad
