Compatibility between N-Hexane & Aluminium

Compatibility between N-Hexane & Aluminium

Compatibility between N-Hexane & Aluminium

(OP)
I need to prove, from an acreditted source that Aluminium in 5454, 3003, and 4045 Alloys are compatible to use with N-Hexane in both Gas and Liquid states.

Can anyone give me any pointers where to start looking?

I am aware that N-Hexane is safe with Aluminium, however, due to Health and Safety concerns, I now find myself having to prove this.

RE: Compatibility between N-Hexane & Aluminium

You could try the following site which allows you to mix chemicals and gives a reaction prediction. I am not sure this would be adequate for your purpose, but I know I have used it to satisfy a similar enquiry (not aluminium and hexane though). Beware of American spelling i.e. Aluminum.
