API 650 11th Edition Addendum 1

API 650 11th Edition Addendum 1

(OP)
Is anyone aware of Addendum 1 to the 11th edition having been issued yet?
The "grapevine" advises that this was supposed to be issued by the end of 2007?

RE: API 650 11th Edition Addendum 1

On the API website, they have a document showing projected addenda.  That list shows both Addendum 1 and 2 being issued in 2008.  It also has an email contact.

In the past, when I have inquired about some of these, the actual issue date was long after the anticipated issue date.

RE: API 650 11th Edition Addendum 1

No, addendum 1 has not been released as yet. It was supposed to be back from the editors for final review almost a month ago but I have not received any notice saying it was back yet. I was hoping it would be released before inquiries had to be submitted for the upcoming API committee meetings in April. It looks like that won't happen.

RE: API 650 11th Edition Addendum 1

Does API 653 allow a thinner replacement shell course (5/16" thick stainless) to be inserted under a thicker shell course (1/2" thick carbon steel)?  The statement in 9.3.3.2 (third edition) would seem to limit the difference to no more that 1/8".  Thanks in advance.
