Color in material appearance not changing

Color in material appearance not changing

(OP)
Good after noon, I have a model and now when I change material from brass to steel, the color of the model no longer changes and now none of the material colors looks quite right.  What could have happened to caused something like this to happen?  I am currently using SW08sp2.1.  Old models and assemblies look the same, but new ones look like the colors are all screwed up.  I am just trying to get this back to brass with the same old color and what used to be there.  Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions.

RE: Color in material appearance not changing

Do you have RealView enabled?  If so, be sure to check your RV studio scene.  Sometimes the lighting and reflections screw with the way appearances look.  Also be sure to check weather or not you have multiple appearances tied to the same part.  That's usually not the road to happiness either.
