Interpretation of Resin coating in Blue print

Interpretation of Resin coating in Blue print

Interpretation of Resin coating in Blue print

(OP)
Pardon me if I have posted this dumb question in a wrong forum.

We have been seeing some paint chips in the soft water filter. I am wondering if this is coming off from the tank interior which then pumps through these filters.

Blue print on this tank says

Paint: resin coating
Is this paiting inside or outside? Any standard? This tank is so old that I cant get to the manufacturer to find out.

Appreciate your kind help

Koshy

RE: Interpretation of Resin coating in Blue print

koshy,
First, this forum is not wrong, it's really ok.
I could help if you can provide some details;- is the mentioned filter fitted to the effluent wash stream outside the tank or is fitted to the piping / pumping system attached to the tank. I have a suspicion that the paint chips in the effluent wash stream are comming either from the outside of the tank or from the other tanks in the tank farm. If the filter is fitted to the piping system attached to the tank, I can conclude with some degree of confidence that the chips are coming from the inside the tank.
cheers,
