RE: SST Bolt Shear and Tension Values

You mean the completely unspecified bolt in your post?  Sure, I have every property for it.

RE: SST Bolt Shear and Tension Values

What do you mean by sst?

RE: SST Bolt Shear and Tension Values

todd2ny,
You have posted a number of questions about stainless design in the last few weeks that show no real clear understanding of how values are obtained for certain items. In this case it is a bolt. If you know your material properties (304,316, etc.) than you can obtain your shear and tension values for your bolt if you know the diameter. You list yourself as a Civil/Geotech. guy. Maybe you should have a structural guy look at this for you. Just my 2 cents and take it as a grain of salt, because we're all here to learn, but when something is beyond our own capability we must be able to recognize that.

FeSE,
I'm guessing he means stainless steel. But he does not list the grade or anything of the sort.
