Inflow/Outflow hydrographs from flooded stream

Inflow/Outflow hydrographs from flooded stream

(OP)
I am attempting to graph an inflow hydrograph from an outflow hydrograph developed from one gaging station some 11 1/2 miles downstream. (Here are some relevant info:So< 10^-3; K=11hrs; X=.40; Tpeak=72hrs). I have tried Muskingum backwards with dismal results. Which routine method would you recommend with limited data on stream overflow.

Also I plotted the gage height vs. discharge from the above gaging station and the graph assumed a parabolic form. Is it reasonable to assume this parabolic form that of the stream under all flow conditions?
